Kabadayi fell in love with house music and started DJing as he lived in Chicago. His journey then took him to Istanbul and finally Berlin. There he experienced a unique club culture, inspiring him to organize parties. He eventually launched Sound of Utopia events agency, organizing signature events such as ‘House in Space’ at Polygon Club, ‘Land of Utopia’ at Burg Schnabel, ‘FUCKTHECALM’ at Beate Uwe, as well as ‘Dream of Utopia’ — a festival at the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey…
While on the decks, Kabadayi has his influences in both Chicago’s house and Berlin’s tech-house scenes, and lately favors minimal and groovy deep-tech soundscapes. He loves long transitions where two tracks just can’t stop making love with each other, giving birth to unique sounds and atmospheres…
Kabadayi left a successful corporate career to focus on his entrepreneurial endeavours. While in Istanbul, he worked at Dogan (leading media group) as a senior executive, and later moved to Berlin as the Managing Director of Boomads online marketing agency. He holds a masters (M.Sc.) degree from Northwestern University (Chicago) in Marketing, and a bachelors degree (B.Sc.) from Bilkent University in Management and Business Administration.
